Last week we spent the days getting ready for Addy’s golf tournament. Friday was the big day and what a HUGE success it was! We had a great time and enjoyed seeing many of the same golfer’s who played last year. It was HOT HOT HOT so Addy stayed in the clubhouse and played with Aubrey, had snuggle time with Mommy, Nana and Grammy and napped! She did so great and I couldn’t have been more proud of her! Before we arrived at the tournament I picked up Allison to help with Addy on the car ride down (thank goodness for her)! Lindsay and Aubrey followed us down and we made a quick stop at “The Cottage Gate” to do a little shopping. We had a great time shopping and watching Aubrey play with one of the “laughing/rolling” toys. Allison was a BIG HELP with Addy and Aubrey and I know she had a great time running around with Aubrey. During lunch Stephanie, Stephanie’s mom and baby Mason made an appearance and we all were soooo excited to see them! We never got a picture of the three kids together in their matching onesie’s because Addy was sleeping while Mason was there but we did manage to get a few separate ones. We had such a great day and can’t wait until next year!!
Addy has still been junky the past week and it looks like things aren’t getting any better! Yesterday the runny nose returned so we called Dr. Tamez (her local Pulmonologist) and he wrote her a new prescription for a different antibiotic to try. He said that if things didn’t get better after this round that he would want to order a cultural to see what’s going on. Hoping and praying that this round of antibiotics work and we don’t have to go that route! James also called Dr. Schroth (WI Pulmonologist) to let her know what was going on with Addy and she agreed with Dr. Tamez and also ordered her something to help relax her tummy (she felt like she might be stressed due to the new piece of equipment we received on Thursday). The new piece of equipment we received Thursday was “The Vest.” The vest is used to administer chest pt instead of manually doing it. Saturday a lady came over to show us how to use the vest and actually told us the wrong pressure settings so Addy hasn’t adapted to it as well as we thought she would. After talking with Dr. Schroth on Sunday she told us about the wrong pressure settings and had us change it. She felt like Addy might be stressed due to the higher settings so that’s why she wrote the prescription.
Nothing exciting happening this week and I’m definitely ok with that!! We are still trying to recover from Friday and hopefully this week will be an uneventful week full of healing for Addy and relaxation for James and I!!!
