Addy Girl,
Today you are eleven! It seems like only yesterday we were preparing for your arrival; we blinked and last year celebrated your 10th birthday. It seems only natural that we would stand in wonder trying to figure out how on earth we have an 11 year old preteen today! Last night as we tucked you into bed we kissed our sweet, strong willed 10 year old for the last time and thanked God that he had given us another year with you. Sweet girl we don’t take these years for granted. Every year is a gift! When the doctor’s told us you wouldn’t live to see your 2nd birthday we never believed it but we also never dreamed we would have you for this long. We are in uncharted territory now and it seems like every month we are experiencing and or learning something new that we never imagined you would face.
10 years have now vanished. Before us is a beautiful little girl with astounding strength and determination. You have fought through so much to be where you are today and we couldn’t be prouder. Your strong willed attitude has given us lots of gray hair and wrinkles but we know it has only made you stronger and for that we are thankful.
Happy 11th Birthday sweet girl! We love you to the moon and back, always and forever!
