Addy Girl,
Today you are NINE! Your
last year celebrating a single-digit birthday! WOAH!! Next year you will be the
BIG double digits and it leaves me speechless!
How and when did this happen? These past 9 years have gone by so fast.
It seems like only yesterday we were holding you in our arms for the first
time. Today we still hold you in our arms but our hands and hearts are much
fuller!
This past year has been
SO big and SO rewarding! You made it
over a year without a hospitalization! There were a few ambulance rides but you
made history by being discharged straight from there!! You began the
1st ever treatment for SMA! To date, you have received 4 lumbar
injections to stunt the damage SMA is causing to your body. We have seen small
but mighty results and we are so so proud of YOU! You started the 3rd
grade and have done amazing with all the new changes to your academic routine. You road on your first limo ride with your friends, ran in your 1st 5k race with Daddy and our family grew by 4 paws when we added Remi to our family. We annouced the plans to build the Addy Grace All-Abilities Playground in your honor and you found out you were going to be a big sister again to another little
brother! Bryson and Baby Garner #3 are the luckiest brothers in the world to
have you as their big sissy! What a role model they have in you.
Mommy and Daddy always
want you to remember “you are braver then you believe, stronger than you seem
and smarter than you think”.
