AGF

Days after receiving Addy’s diagnosis of Spinal Muscular Atrophy we started receiving packages of gifts, information and inspiring stories from different foundations all focused on the same thing, SMA. These foundations were set up by parents, just like us, who had a child with SMA who had started their foundation in honor or memory of their child. We were so overwhelmed and honored by their generosity that we knew someday we wanted to do something like this for Addy. For the past year James and I kept talking about the idea of starting our own foundation to help newly diagnosed families. We knew this was something we definitely wanted to do but finding the time to get it started seemed to be near impossible with the countless doctor’s appointments, therapy sessions and most importantly our quality time together as a family. Finally late spring, early summer we sat down with our Accountant and good friend Todd Creasy to start the endless paperwork to set up a 501c3 Non-Profit Organization; this foundation would be called The Addy Grace Foundation.

There are already so many foundations out there for SMA and we are so excited and honored to finally be a part of that special group. The Addy Grace Foundation (AGF) will in no way benefit Addy financial, our purpose behind it is to help until THE cure is found! We want to be there to help newly and seasoned families who are fighting this terrible disease!

A special thank you goes out to Neely’s Accounting Services, TJ Gooden, Ashley Jones and the AGF committee members for your countless hours of help and support during these past few months.
Our website is still under construction but check back soon for more important http://www.addygracefoundation.com/

  1. Jenn...You and James are amazing. Everytime I read your blog I tear up in awe of what wonderful parents you are to Addy. You have given her so many wonderful opportunities. She is such a lucky little girl to have such a great mommy and daddy.
